Pool or Beach Lifeguard (Seasonal)
Must be able to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays if necessary.
Key Responsibilities of the Lifeguard, but not limited to:
- Supervises and observes swimmers at all times to ensure their safety.
- Administers first aid to minor injuries such as small cuts and bruises of swimmers.
- Enforces the rules of conduct.
- Maintains all necessary records determined by the department manager.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
Minimum Qualifications for the Pool Lifeguard:
- Must be at least 15 years of age.
- Employees will be required to have their American Red Cross Lifeguard certification by their first day of work.
- Must be able to complete an interview and a swim test consisting of a 400yrd freestyle swim.
Minimum Qualifications for the Beach Lifeguard:
- Must pass a Run and swim test.
- Must have Red Cross Lifeguarding before first day of work.
- Must pass EMR/First Responder certification (offered after hired).
Other Qualifications:

Regular and reliable attendance.

Knowledge of accepted sanitation standards and applicable health codes.
