This camp has been running in Rehoboth Beach for over two decades now, The camp is open to aspiring rock and roll musicians from ages 8 to 16. and is run by director Walt Hetfield. Mr. Hetfield has been the music teacher at Rehoboth Elementary School for the past twenty-five years. He is also an active rock and roll musician. 

The camp is open to most instruments and vocalists. One of the primary goals of the camp is to take students who have been taking private or school band lessons on various instruments and getting them into an ensemble-playing situation. Mr. Hetfield's Rock and Roll summer camp is a place for them to meet and play with other young musicians.
