The Lord Baltimore Elementary PTO is seeking corporate and individual sponsorships to assist with the construction of an outdoor classroom at Lord Baltimore Elementary School!  For more information on the LB PTO and the outdoor classroom, see below.  If you are interested in sponsoring, please choose from the levels below and email the sponsor/payment information to ptolordbaltimore@gmail.com by June 17th.  Checks can be mailed to LB PTO at 120 Atlantic Ave., Ocean View, DE 19970.

The Lord Baltimore Elementary parent teacher organization (PTO) is a non-profit organization focused on supporting the teachers, students and families at Lord Baltimore Elementary School within the Indian River School District.  Their fundraising efforts directly benefit students and staff by providing fun and educational events throughout the school year. 

As of July 2023, the PTO board declared its main fundraising goal for the years ahead to be an outdoor classroom environment to enrich the education of the student body.  This will provide a safe, comfortable, and functional outdoor space for teachers to conduct lessons, getting both students and staff excited to learn and teach.  The regular use of creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in an unstructured outside setting means that children are more likely to have these skills in the classroom and future careers.  Additionally, this classroom can be utilized for special incentives for students such as enjoying lunch outside or getting extra outside time.  The administration will be able to utilize the structure for staff meetings, PTO meetings, as well as other school-related events. 

The outdoor classroom vision came to life by way of long-standing Lord Baltimore prinicpal Pamela Webb and the current PTO board.  With design, engineering, and construction plans in place, the PTO is ready to break ground as soon as possible in order to get students outside and learning by next school year.  Supporting this initiative will allow the constructuon process to begin once school lets out in June, to not disrupt regularly scheduled outdoor time. 

The PTO looks forward to recognizing sponsors as part of the completed project: 

• Every sponsor will receive recognition through social media outlets as well as a flyer that will be distributed to all LB families at the beginning of the school year.
• Silver and Gold sponsors will also receive their name on a plaque that will be placed within the completed outdoor classroom.
