Poseidon Festival - Sunday Events
Join Bethany Beach as we celebrate our annual Poseidon Festival. The event will run all weekend long with varying activities. The schedule for Sunday, May 28th is as follows:
Live Mermaid Tank

1:00 – 5:00 pm
See a live mermaid perform various underwater tricks such as bubble rings, heart kisses, and bubble columns.
Glam Shell Photos and Story Times

Gather around the glam shell for photos and story times: Mermaid Tasha's Mission and Glitter is Not the Winner.
Marine Science Camp

Gain an appreciation for our marine life and environment in a fun open-classroom setting by the sea. This award-winning program will explore sharks, sunfish, and sea turtles through interactive hands-on activities. Also, find out what’s inside the Mystery Box.
Discover Bethany Beach

Meet Mermaid Tasha right on the shores of Bethany Beach and discover more about the resort’s marine life including the namesake fish of Tasha’s tail, the marlin!
Emergency Meet & Greet

5:30 – 7:00 pm
Meet and greet our Town lifeguards, police, and fire personnel to learn how to prepare for a potential coastal emergency. See the Sussex County Command Post and water rescue vehicles up close.
U.S. Navy Cruisers

The group takes its name from the Navy’s versatile, flexible, multi-missioned ship – the Cruiser – and the band lives up to its namesake by having the capabilities of playing genres of music ranging from jazz & standards, rhythm & blues, classic rock, adult contemporary, pop, and original material.
