Join us as we celebrate the sea and learn how to prepare for coastal emergencies.

The weekend kicks off Friday, May 24th at 7:30 PM with the Aloha Summer Luau Show on the Bandstand.

Visit the Nature Center (807 Garfield Parkway) on Saturday, May 25th at 10:30 am, for a treasure-hunting adventure deep within the jungle! Help the performer act out the tale, as you use the events in the story to explore several exciting science concepts.

On Saturday, May 25th beginning at 1:00 PM Pirates are taking over the Plaza! Mermaids will also be in their tanks from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM near the Bandstand. Accompanied with live music by 3 Hour Tour, a yacht rock band, at the 1:00 and 3:00 hours. At 2:00 PM, the Pirates will host a costume contest! Come dressed as a pirate or mermaid for your chance to win prizes. Lineup begins on the boardwalk in front of the Bethany Beach Ocean Suites and parades down to the Bandstand stage. Saturday concludes with Entrain on the Bandstand at 7:30 PM.

The Mermaids take center stage on Sunday, May 26th. They will be in their tanks from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. They will also be doing Glam Shell Photos and Story time from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on the Bandstand. The Marine Science camp will have a tent from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM doing demonstrations. First Responders will bring water rescue vehicles and explain how to prepare for coastal emergencies from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The night ends with the U.S. Navy Country Current on the Bandstand at 7:30 PM.

On Monday, May 27th there will be a Memorial Day Service on the Bandstand at 11:00 AM hosted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7234.
