Join us on Wednesday, November 8th from 8:30 - 11:00 am as we hear from experienced professionals on recently passed legislation that will impact business' financials, HR policies, and onboarding processes: EARNS Retirement Savings Program (HB205), Marijuana Legalization (HB1 & HB2), and the Healthy Delaware Families Act (SS2 to SB1).

Janie Libby
Janie Libby is a retired Human Resources Executive who most recently held the position of Vice President of HR for Dover Downs Hotel and Casino and Dover International Speedway. She has over 38 years of experience in the Human Resources field. Janie was volunteered for the Legislative Affairs Committee at the Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce for over 10 years and has testified at several hearings and legislative events. She also served as a the chairperson for the CDCC Board of Directors from 2015 to 2017.
Melissa Carson
Melissa Carson, founder of Canopy Strategies, spent the early part of her career working in HR compentency and talent strategy roles ar Accenture, AECOM, and EPAM. With over 25 years as a global HR thought leader for large, successful organizations, she applies her skills and industry best practices expertise to fast-growing small to mid-size organizations. She is a Delaware SCORE mentor and presenter on multi-faceted human resources and human capital leadership topics.
Chanta Wilkinson
Chanta is the founder or Chanta Wilkinson Consulting, LLC, where she provides diversity, equity, and inclusion training consulting as well as human resources and nonprofit board governance consulting to help organizations implement best practices. She previously served as a Human Resources Consultant for small to mid-sized business in Delaware and New York City and served as the Associate Director of EEO/Affirmative Action (AA) for Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn. Chanta has experience presenting anti-discrimination and anti-harassment training, drafting employee handbooks and workplace policies, providing guidance on FMLA requessts, and conducting workplace investigations.
