Gardening as We Age at Inland Bays Garden Center
Gardening As We Age with Alison Webb Schweiger at Inland Bays Garden Center on Friday, March 21st from 2pm – 3pm.
Register at South Coastal Library.
Aging is a fact of life sometimes preventing us from doing things that bring us joy like working in the garden and connecting with nature.
This program will talk about ways to ease gardening as we age but still keep our fingers in the dirt. We'll learn about products that make gardening easy and prevent those next day, aches and pains. In addition will take a look at some native plants that are easy to grow and require minimal care.
Alison Webb AIFD moved to the coast after 60+ years living in Baltimore. She was a retail florist for over 45 years and gained membership in the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD) in 1985. While her professional career focused primarily on cut flowers and tropical plants she's had an interest in gardening and had a yard in Baltimore with several micro-climates. On moving to her home in Ocean Pines she realized how her new yard would easily transition to a yard needing very little maintenance as time went on. This spurred the interest in developing a program on Gardening As We Age.
