Fire & Ice Festival "In the First State" - Drink Competition
Join the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce & local restaurants on Sunday, January 18th, from 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM at Mango's for the Fire & Ice "In the First State" Drink Competition. This year's theme is in coordination with Delaware's 250th anniversary. Local bartenders show off their creativity and skill to have take first place in the first state!
All drinks will be created with bartender's choice of tequila, vodka, or whiskey. Each competing group will go head-to-head to win a Best of the Base Award! Best of the Base winners are determined by an excellent panel of judges. Patrons will be able to vote for their favorite drink to determine the People's Choice Award Winner! Tickets will be available until Wednesday, January 7th.

Participating bartenders will compete for an opportunity to be crowned the Fire & Ice "In the First State" Best of the Base winners and the People's Choice Award winner. The winning bartender will be awarded a cash prize and plaque.

Guests are invited to bring a few extra dollars to tip the talented bartenders for their creativity, service, and time. All tips will be collected and split among competing bartenders.

Ticket sales benefit Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce, a 501(c)(6) not-for-profit organization and it's partnership with Beebe Healthcare's South Coastal Emergency Department & Cancer Center, a community-based, not-for-profit center with a vision to be a "healthcare system of choice for all people."
Celebrity Judging Panel:
A panel of local celebrity and judges will participate in the Fire & Ice "In the First State" Drink Competition. Drinks will be judged based on taste, presentation, and festival theme.

Experience a full tour to taste the drinks featured at the Drink Competition, enjoy specialty Fire & Ice menu items during the festival weekend, and the Tasting Tour is for you! The Tasting Tour features restaurants from 4 different towns all within a 20 minute drive!
You won't want to miss the 2026 Fire & Ice Festival on January 30th - February 1st! Each year, a new theme is revealed and 2026 will be "In the First State"! Over 60,000 pounds of ice sculptures featuring everything there is to love about Delaware as the state gears up to celebrate it's 250th anniversary! Bonfires, live animals, inflatables, skating rink, live entertainment, and more will add to fun for everyone. Festival activities and features will be taking place all over the Quiet Resorts.
